David T. Hartney, Treasurer

Mr. Hartney is the managing director of First Hand Leaning, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that designs and teaches professional development and science curriculum under a subcontract from NSF-funded Local System Change Project at the Research Foundation of the State University of New York. Mr. Hartney holds a BS in Engineering and BA in Philosophy from Swarthmore College and an M.A.T in Science Education from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has been a Science and Mathematics Teacher, a research associate at the National Science Resources Center, Associate Director of the Center for Science Education at the Buffalo Museum of Science and a curriculum developer at California Institute of Technology.
